Although this proposed site didn't have much of a description on his website, I can still tell this is is an interesting design. I understand the space will be public and includes statues and a winding pathway towards the entrance to the building. The purple lavender - Lavandula angustifolia contrast against the orange cladding of the building and as a result creates an eye-catching space. The height of the buildings is softened via the use of some trees with a spreading crown shape.
The paving used delicately adds texture to the ground and has a mosaic like effect. Hedging mimics the contours and boarder of the path as it outlines the site, against the benches, adjacent to the building. No tall planting has been used next to the pre-existing architecture to maintain a good view through the windows when inside and to give a sense of enclosure and the feeling of exploration through the vegetation, toward the final destination.
I find this site to be visually engaging and look forward to the update of the CCxA website so I can learn more.
