Groupwork - Manicured Site
Rewilding Workshop
Sw
In the rewilding Workshop, there were 3 groups exploring the ratio of the area will be rewilded (Honeyborn Line) and what effect this has on the biodiversity produced/lost. My group had a more manicured approach and we ensured each section of the site has a different look, but was interlinked via the vegetation or furniture. The concept was to create a place to engage the community and to include activities for all members of the family, such as a wooden snake that lines some of the site, planting species that produce fresh fruit, building spaces of high and low to appreciate different view points, making natural overhead structures that stop and start across the site and keeping the space as open as possible.
In the above photo are a few of the sketches I drew to further understand the concept and grasp what I wanted the area to look like. This also gave perspective on the scale I wanted to create.
It was good to work with new people in this project and gave insight into what it will be like to work in different groups of people at work.
