St Aidans

Concept Development

To further understand the scale of the St Aidans site, we took rope and tape measures to the grand lawn on campus (the same size as the site) and scaled the most important spaces in our design at 1:1. This helped us to identify the areas that we needed to increase and decrease in size. Likewise, seating and community areas could be imagined easier and so we could establish the area needed for however many seats. 

After this, we revisited the site and I can now appreciate that it is a medium-sized site and most of the asks from the client must be delivered.
