The Island

After visiting the site for my design module, I used 6-8 photographs that I had taken to create an abstract visualisation. This visualisation describes what I experienced on the site and mimics the atmosphere the area embodied. 

I began by photoshopping graffiti onto a tree and used the overhead structure found beneath the road as a feature that draws the eye towards the rest of the image. The contrast between the natural characteristics and hard materials symbolises the naturally occurring spaces affected by human intervention. 

Moreover, I included the flats located at Gloucester Quays as I felt that they were an important aspect of the location;  exemplifying economics, social aspects and function.
