Concept First Attempt

Our group first brainstormed our first responses to the brief and this year's theme of 'make a statement'. Initially, the process took us to what a statement may be in garden design and this could be using unconventional or unusual gardening methods such as bottle gardens or using objects that may feel out of place in a garden. Then we built on this concept and thought we could use windows and other ways to look at the flower bed would be useful for portraying our idea. This then lead to us thinking of installing different densities of planting and sculptures to create a sense of enclosure in the small space. Lastly, we linked this idea the the process of time and how this can be used in our flower bed.
