Second Illustration

For my second favourite illustration, I selected my revised magnolia court section that I made during my digital communications module in my second year. I feel the revised drawing gives a better sense of place and atmosphere, due to the fact that my initial drawing was only made on Autocad and was never taken into Photoshop or another rendering program to add colour and texture. 

I think the vegetation being the focal point of the illustration gives the impression that Magnolia Court will be rejuvenated to become a more sustainable space as it increases the biodiversity net gain. Although the plants added were the area I wanted to concentrate on, the use of hard materials in the background gives context to the drawing and adds interest via the pattern of the brick.

If I were to recreate this drawing I would add more colourful flowers to portray a better idea of what I wanted to showcase.
