Visualisations 01

 WEEK 04

Visualisations First Steps

SW

When first drawing the visualisations for the Tatton Park Long Border project, I used the assisted perspective tool on Procreate to draw a border at a scale similar to what the real long border would be like. I also drew vertical lines at each corner of the planting area to describe the vertex and therefore ensure that any object inserted in the design is not greater than 2m high.

Moreover, I morphed the original planting plan, and later the revised plan, to be at the same perspective as the border itself and so ensured when importing the plants, they would be staggered and have order. Likewise, I layered the planting plan to make sure that the plants selected and implemented into the design had the correct height and presented the effect I wanted to create. This method proved to be effective, however, it was more difficult to emphasise depth with the taller plants as I had not drawn a perspective point so the taller layers of planting should decrease in size towards the back, more so than they do already.

I isolated the plants in each plant category using the plant list that was produced previously in my group, so I knew the individual height of each plant when I copied and pasted each plant later.
